Le 3ème Open de Saint-François se déroulera du 06 au 09 juin 2013 sur le parcours du Golf de Saint-François, sur l'île de la Guadeloupe. Les 18 trous du golf ont été dessinés par Robert Trent Jones, célèbre architecte ayant réalisé près de 500 parcours à travers 40 Etats Américains et 35 pays. Ils offrent un cadre de jeu extraordinaire pour tous les professionnels qui viendront exercer leur talent sur l'île.
Organisée par Canal + Events, le tournoi de Saint-François est une étape officielle de l'Allianz Golf Tour qui est un tour professionnel, soutenu par la Fédération Française de Golf, considéré comme le meilleur tremplin pour les joueurs français souhaitant intégrer l'European Tour. Inscrite au calendrier de l'Alps Tour, cette étape est dotée à hauteur de 50 000€. .
Alors que 8 étapes de l'Allianz Golf Tour ont lieu en métropole, celle de Saint-François est la seule du calendrier régulier à se dérouler outre-mer, devenant ainsi le premier tournoi professionnel international de haut niveau aux Antilles. Aura également lieu en fin d'année l’AfrAsia Golf Masters, véritable point d'orgue de l'Allianz Golf Tour qui récompense ses 20 meilleurs joueurs dans le cadre idyllique de l'île Maurice.
A Saint-François la compétition se jouera en strokeplay et regroupera environ 120 golfeurs professionnels européens. Certains participeront au PRO-AM prévu pour le 06 juin. L'accès gratuit à la compétition permettra aux spectateurs de venir nombreux et de découvrir ou redécouvrir le golf lors d’un événement inédit de très haut niveau et sur un parcours d’exception. A cette occasion le Golf International de Saint-François inaugurera son tout nouveau Club House.
